22. A probationary general education teaching permit for Cree and Kativik school boards is valid for 5 years and may be renewed for subsequent 5-year periods.
For persons referred to in paragraph 2 of section 19, the probationary permit is renewable only if the applicant has successfully met all the imposed requirements, except for the probationary period, if applicable.
Despite the first paragraph, a renewal of a probationary permit following a failed probationary period is valid for one year only.
